    Sunny days

Driving on pavement (I live up north ok)

Knowing that I have done a good job

being told that I have done a good job

    Seeing other people happy

    Making other people happy

sitting on a dock at 7am in perfect silence with a cup of coffee, no wind, no clouds. It feels like the world has stopped just for you.

Knowing that I can experince that again this summer.

I get that one too. Although in my case it could be any of "Maths, CompSci or Physics". More often the comment comes when I mention I'm a mathematician! However, It was really excellent working in a team recently where the team leader was both a mathematician and a Monty Python/Red Dwarf/Douglas Adams fan :)

    My smile list:
    * Seeing my 2.5 yo son finally "get" something he has been struggling with.
    * Seeing friends enjoy a meal I've prepared.
    * Watching my niblings (nieces and nephews) get married.
    * My wife
    * Finally cracking a particularly pesky level or user-map in C&C3 or RA3

    * hitting a golf ball with a driver and hearing that unique ring and you know you've found the sweet spot and watching it sail for miles down the fairway without bending sharply to the right! *grin*

Catching up with an old lost friend.
When I finish recording a guitar piece that went right
TF2 Dominating and pissy people leaving the server cause they got shut down with a loss.

Smile on my wife's face when her eBay store has an exceptional week.
Of course it means I need to wrap and ship and list more. Great fun.

One thing, I enjoy looking at the straight lines of a freshy cut lawn, if I do it myself or if someone else does it.

    This made me smile today:
A married couple went to the hospital to have their baby delivered.

Upon their arrival, the doctor said that the hospital was testing an
amazing new high-tech machine that would transfer a portion of the
mother's labor pain to the baby's father.

He asked if they were willing to try it out.

Both said they were very much in favor of it.

The doctor set the pain transfer to 10% for starters, explaining that
even 10% was probably more pain than the father had ever experienced
    before.

But as the labor progressed, the husband felt fine and asked the doctor
to go ahead and kick it up a notch.

The doctor then adjusted the machine to 20% pain transfer. The husband
    was still feeling fine.

The doctor then checked the husband's blood pressure and was amazed at
how well he was doing.. .. At this point they decided to try for 50%.

The husband continued to feel quite well.

Since the pain transfer was obviously helping the wife considerably,
the husband encouraged the doctor to transfer ALL the pain to him.

The wife delivered a healthy baby with virtually no pain, and the
    husband had experienced none.

She and her husband were ecstatic.

When they got home they found the UPS man dead on the porch.

    New audio Gear!

That feeling where you unwrap it and smell that new gear smell! Like a child at Christmas you hook it all up with great expectation. Then, like a smack in the face, you are presented with such awful sounding music you're almost sick, especially when it's just cost you more than you can really afford. You go to work feeling let down and bummed out the following day, and feel like sending the manufacturer a piece of your mind. You come home and give it a second chance.. Gods orchestra and his choir of angels open with a symphony of heaven all thanks to 24-hour burn-in minimums. 72 hours is the next milestone, and it sounds better and better with each hour that passes ^________________^ I am SOOOOOO HAPPYYYYYYYYY

I'd extend the 'boobs' suggestion to women in general, who are called 'the fairer sex' for a good reason. I always found that detail in 28 Days Later very poignant, where the soldier tries to commit suicide stating "what's the point of living if there are no women in the world?"
(Although positive stereotyping is just as misled as negative stereotyping, really. My landlord is a woman, and she's a b**** :()

-The video on the 'good' ending of Bioshock. Really made me smile, it's brilliant.

Nailing the pesky interference problem you've spent months on, and discovering there are no patents for mechanisms of that application in existence so you can patent the **** out of every iteration you can come up with.

cooking. the simple act of preparing the food, rather than the eating thereof.
the smell of the house during/after something has been baked.
being woken by birds ( :worried: )
seeing something i've been working on for ages finally work.
driving in fine weather, with good music
having a mate round and just dicking about with no real aim to the day
    comfortable silences
    uncomfortable silences!
doing something for the first time and really really enjoying it.
my nephews. everything about them is totally awesome.

    I enjoy:
Cooking (i'm not a very good cook, but i still enjoy it)
Going on a journey (could be car or train, as long as it's somewhere, i don't mind)
Sitting in a A319/737 at the end of a runway just before and during take off (it's the rapid acceleration)
Landing (it's the rapid deceleration, plus the end of my ears popping)
Listening to good decent music at the levels i want to listen to it at.

    Thats it for now
