For reference, to take 70kg from a Nova you need to remove all the door trims etc.., the entire dash, rear seats etc.. also bear in mind that buckets are lighter than the standard seats.

Good luck though, you've made a good start. :thumb:

These arent my pics, but i did rehost them for an example:

Fun if you have a car in spare :p
Personally I would feel guilty to eat fast-food if you spend that much time making the car lighter.

    aha, thanks Xeno.
At the moment i'm grinding off various brackets and bits that aren't needs.
    Every gram counts!
Eventually, sunroof will be replaced by alu sheet, and bucket seats will be in.
Also considering getting rid of leccy windows in trade for manual winders! ;)

Thats a nice Nova though! ;)

    Whats your interior like now?

This isn't an everyday car is it?

If you're getting rid of the sunroof and 'leccy windows, you might want to replace the rear windows with plexi. You could also get rid of the sound-proofing in the engine bay too. :)

    It will be. ;)

Rear windows are getting plexi sooner or later. Should be winter time. :)
Sound proofing has gone. Only the bits behind the dash and the dash itself are left now!

Now you've lightened it and made it faster, are you gonna put a roll cage in too?

    Was waiting for that.
Its going down 30-35mm one day too. Thinking of a Koni/H&R setup.
    Expensive stuff!

How seriously are you taking it?

If you're considering £300 on shocks then you may aswell save for longer and get coilovers.

Like I said, or may not of. This will be taken to tracks along with some of my mates :)
Still debating spending that on shocks though.
Just been told not to bother, and just uprate the springs. (I know about the issues with this, but apparently this specific spring is ok on the standard dampers)
