I wanted it back on really. It looks so gash without it, because of the heater matrix, and the windscreen vents don't really do their job so well without it.
If and when I can warrent/afford a works car, it'll come out. ;)

hmmm... all i think when I see this is 'irresponsible chavs'. :p no offensive meant to you personally but I have loads of those types in my area and I have yet to see one drive responsibly in built up areas or one to actually have the nerve to keep up with my stock 306 on the country roads when i'm driving home in a hurry.

My advice would be to suspend work on your car for a bit and get some advanced driving course lessons in first.

Very few "chavs" have stripped out cars around here. Generally they'll go for the styling mods and drive like t**ts, but people with properly modified cars (eg. for performance rather than looks) like Shadowed_fury's tend to be a bit more sensible/aware on the roads.

It's the same round here. It's usually the ones who spend their money on godawful styling mods that drive like idiots. The people that make worthwhile changes to the performance of a car seem to enjoy driving and most of the time save it for when it's safe, and generally show a much better understanding of their surroundings/conditions.

Bored of hearing this now. I do want to drive.
Also, i'm not a chav. I know loads of people with modified cars, that don't speed or take the p*** on roads.
Them lot, do it on track. ;)

You are having a dig at the chavs for not trying to keep up (race, basically) with you? Seems a bit backwards to me given the other comment!

To keep on topic: I'm liking this project for it's difference to the usual, was a bit unsure to start with but now it's all good. ;)

Get rid of the heater core. And grab a few feet of copper tube, run a small loop under your seat and shed a few unwanted pounds. If your car has alu front rad then go for a alu pipe. Weighs next to nothing and you still get heat.

Also grab a sheet of of alu and mount the console on that as well as the buttons. Loose the dash. Strip the reinforcement in the hood as well and mount it with pins (or screws). Thats a few more pounds. Also the plastic coverings on your wheel arches could go.

    To hell with that.
As much as I would lose weight doing that, I would cost me.
And wheel arches make the car what it is. :D

Looks good :) wait for the big guns to come out :) carbon fibre knobs and buttons etc...

Got a little list of what u want to do to in the near future.

    Morgan.

Not being a car enthusiast or knowing much atall about cars tbh [not being a driver and all]

But i know a bit about weight loss from past experience in other fields, but what have you got in there that you could be made from lighter materials best place to start id say is fixings, 1 nut may only weight 5gs but say 100 nuts is 500g etc... ally nuts and bolts are light. Thought about replace the glass with lexin or some wother plastic ?

    EDIT
