Just off to GAME to sit in a queue till 7am when it opens to pickup my Wii. I feel like I'm 8 again and it's Christmas. Gotta love being excitable about stuff like this.
Ah, that would explain why Amazon didn't dispatch my copy yesterday, however it's "Dispatching soon" now though, so hopefully it'll come tomorrow. The Wii however is out for delivery!
Well. We collected our Wii at 7am in my local GAME and the queues were actually quite long. Been playing it for a white with the missus. 50mins of Wii sports (No jokes taa ) Enjoying it alot so far
I got a call from a friend, argos delivered his this morning at 9am.... and just to piss me off, they delivered him another.... now i'm just depressed...
im gonna just ponder down to my local tesco at lunch time... if they have one.. great.. if not oh well..
Got mine from tesco last night, they had 47 - no preorder necessary. They had plenty of copies of wiiplay bundled with 'motes, no component cables though
He will probally flog it on ebay.. with a shortage i don't blame him. They will go for lots... Although i think he should give it to me...
Anyone got theirs from Woolies yet? I'm going to pick mine up from Woolworths later hopefully, but the page on the internet still says processing (they've taken my money though) and the store refuses to answer on the phone.
the wii's are already on ebay.... goin for upto £200 - £500 not worth it IMO even if i was gonna get one for my "kids" if i had any.. some ppl are just stupid..
Composite (yellow video, red and white audio) and a scart adaptor - not great! You can buy an RGB scart or a component cable for a much better picture, think there's a vga cable in the Japanese market too, though may be wrong.
Yeah. We don't get RGB or component till the 15th apparenty but in actual fact the component seems to look and work alright. Luckly though I wont notice as I'm using it on the lame TV down stairs and EVERYTHING looks pants on that one
Just phoned up Woolies, apparently my Wii has been dispatched to my store, so they don't have it yet. Normally I'd be annoyed, but its actually convenient for me as I managed to order the Wii for a London store, and I'm still at uni at the moment. I was considering going down to London to pick up my Wii, then coming all the way back again, only to go back down with all my stuff tomorrow... Looking forward to Monday.
oh thats good..... i remember when the gamecube came out.... it came with the standard arial adapter that all the old consoles ran on.... least they have throught about it this time.... ill probably get a VGA cable when it comes out and if i have a wii at the time....
I don't have anythign to compare it to but the composite connection looks fine on my 36" SD CRT downstairs. The colours are vivid and the definition is good. I wouldn't ever guess it was composite if I didn't know. Still waiting for the component cable obviously but this really looks fine. You can hack the composite cable apart to turn it into a component if you want to.
My local Woolies got 3 wii's this morning! They had 8 pre-ordered! I got there in 2 and half mins after I got the text! Even then, one had already gone! And now i can't play because i'm at work, but i've got it sitting on the desk in front of me, looking all small and shiny so happy
