...has been ruined by the masses of nerds who still find the term hilarious and opt to use it in everyday conversation. Yes I realize that when you pwn somebody in a spectacular manner then the phrase may well be deserved, but when you're playing the same video game for 10 years and you've pretty much seen everything that could possibly happen, what then is the purpose of the word epic. I would even go so far to say that 9 out of 10 times whatever situation is at hand is NOT epic. For example; I was browsing the project logs and I came across the most intriguing project I have ever seen. It was called....."Epic Project Log". So I'm thinking to myself, " This must be epic or why else would anyone say that it was?" To my disbelief, it was not epic, it was a half ass rendering and 0 photos of actual build or progress. Also the project was named by someone woth no previous experience on bit-tech. All of this leads to my final conclusion, in which I am going to reccomend that the word EPIC be replaced. At least 1337 had a meaning within the community. Epic seems to have dropped in somewhere around the same time as the movie 300. With that being said, every time you use the word epic you are supporting full grown men oiling up and rubbing against eachother. Well played.
rofl hahaha I agree epic has been overused. At first I hated the term but after hearing it in proper situation it got funny. Now it's like 'owning', it's just part of the gamer's vocabulary
Epic is, like, totally rad. For sure. NOT!! Yeah right...as if! Every time someone says it I just wanna say, "Oh, gag me with a spoon!"
so what you're saying is epic used to be epic but now epic has lost its epic? Yep i know what you mean.
Now that is a post deemed worth the word EPIC! And now my two cents on the word epic: Unless your pissing tentacles and shaving your nut sack with a crowbar, then you cannot use the word epic!
