Just researched the Cromwell and the top engine. Much better experiance than any tank before it in the tree. :)

    Really?

Cool, what did you think of the A13, as I am currently rather enjoying it.

I'm currious as to how the Brit tanks are shaping up in terms of play style.

I do worry that they're going to end up being a bit mediocre are they're very "balanced"

I am still grinding the Crusader medium, having lots of fun though.

The fast firing top gun is great fun, peppering everything around the place. I got top gun last night with 7 kills, 4 other damages, 63 shots fired and something like 35-40 hits. I have managed to kill Cromwell's, Valentine's and VK3601H's easily - it just takes a lot of shots as the top gun doesn't do a lot of damage.

Just don't stop moving otherwise you will die, they don't have much armour...

Prefered the next one up from the a13, called the crusader. The cromwell is a real step up on both of those IMO.

It's fast, good terrain and turret traverse, hits fairly hard and has good refire rates. It is however a fairly weak tank, no sloped armour and a large fire inducing weak spot on the rear. A real flankers tank :)

edit: oh and I forgot to mention, unlike the previous tanks, the cromwell gets little benefit in being hull down. it lacks that nice slopey turret armour of the a13 and crusader

Seriously? The Matilda is better than the Valentine, and has an excellent gun (120mm penetration at tier 4!) and armour - it's the best tier 4 heavy/medium tank.

Agreed on the Matilda gun, I really like the way it's a variation on the norm - massive pen and ROF with much lower damage but it's just so slow and the top engine doesn't rectify that by much. I wish I could have that gun on the A13.

    Just racked up 5 kills...

Unfortunately all on my own team.

Laid up in a lovely ambush spot, TD either does not see me or decides he wants the spot for himself. Proceeds to ram me off the cliff.

Survive the landing, he starts spouting how i caused him friendly damage (even though he rammed me).

Start taking fire from team members who are in his clan.

Had to kill them all...had no choice ; )

I'd have stopped shooting and started reporting.

A rather unfortunate side effect of the new physics is that kind of twatty behaviour from some of the players. I had issues a few times where players in larger tanks have pushed me forward out in front of the enemies just to get you killed.

Personally I think repeat team damage needs to carry a harsh penalty, not just in a single match but across a tankers overall stats.

There is a report button for doing that though.

I've always wondered what happens with the reports... How many you need to get for a ban etc. I've only seen 1 person get a ban.

I've always wondered as well, I make a habit of ALWAYS reporting AFK teammates as idle/bots.

Teamkillers seem to get auto bans and major negative credits so I'm not too worried about those.

It would be interesting to see what happens to the reports, even if the report stats are recorded against a player record for public viewing.

I haven't hit any problems the TK-ing yet. Is it more common at the higher tiers?

I think youll get it in all tiers, prefect example i was trundling along in my V39. Apparently i was in the way of an IS so after being rammed into a wall and loosing both tracks i had a round in my engine bay from them obviously to stop me catching up to them -_-

I tend to get annoyed at stupid people (those who drive into me repeatedly) and shoot them so they understand the warning I'm giving, repeatedly if necessary. Sometimes I even turn blue because of it. I've had plenty of people claim to report me and say I'll be experiencing a ban soon enough; never happens though.
