Tier 6, it's got to be the KV-1S for fun with the big 122mm. I found the KV-1 with the 85mm a huge amount of fun, and finally elited it a few weeks ago. The problem I've got is grinding enough silver.

I have the Cromwell, Hellcat, T-150, KV-2 and IS all unlocked however I just can't afford any of them. Soon I've have enough for either the Cromwell or Hellcat and I am curious as to which one will be a better earner, I'm tempted by the Cromwell as I've got the 75mm HV from the churchill's, and the Hellcat looks awesome when elited but a pig without the top engine or gun.

I've found the cromwell to be not very good, but that might just be me, and I'm not using the 75mm vickers gun yet.

I've just sold my AT8 and gone back to the Alecto. Really couldn't get on with the AT8, too slow and seemed terrible compared to the AT2, mainly I think because I was more often up against heavier targets which could take me out in 3 shots, whereas the AT2 usually just sat there and soaked it up.

Its not great until its maxed. Then its speed and decent pen make it a pretty good move and shoot tank. Plus it can out gun most other tanks that can go around the same speed, meaning when you reach the front line on a fast cap map (Karalia, Abbey etc) you can destroy their scout pretty easily.

My M6 is doing really well these days, it's a good training in hull-down for the T29, I guess.

^ This. The Cromwell is great IF you play it right (shoot'n'scoot, DON'T get hit etc). The Comet is the same when maxed , just with better turret, slightly slower speed and slightly better gun. However, with the Comet you are up against bigger and better enemies at Tier 7 so you can still only shoot'n'scoot and hit them in the sides.

Whatever you do in both of them, DON'T get hit, you will die within a shot or two. They are great for taking out scouts and arty as well as slow turning tanks and TD's (e.g. circle of death). Don't ever get into a face to face brawl with them though.

Like Lance said, the speed and reasonable penetration are its' strengths, coupled with mobility and RoF. Just don't rely on the armour...

I loved the Alecto, perfect for scouting forward fast and then late in the game start killing.

The AT-2 is awful, I think when it was release nobody knew how to kill it, but their learning and it makes the 30K xp grind very painful. I have to question which gun worked best for you? I tried to get on with the top 6 pdr, but even the rate of fire can't stop it sucking. So after a few days of pain, I've got the derp and loading prem every time just to get the AT-2 out of my life!

I happened to unlock the AT2 just when they had a bunch of bonus weekeds etc, so was using the 5x xp and 3x xp bonuses to help me.

I was using the top 6pnder most of the time. I tried the howitzer, which was good, but my aim with slow firing guns isn't very good, so the 6pnder suited me better. I did use premium ammo on it once or twice, buying with silver instead of gold, and that certainly made things easier against the bigger stuff and other AT2s.
I was hoping the AT8 would be more of the same but tougher and heavier firepower, but it feels worse to me, the gun doesn't seem much more powerful, and I couldn't be bothered to grind 14k xp for the 3rd gun.
Going to try and elite my AT crew a few times in the alecto.

I would say the AT-2 suffers the same issue as the M3 lee. The massive tumour that is the commander's cupola is just a massive weak spot, plus the traverse speed is far too low to be effective when brawling up close, which is the the tanks many purpose with that frontal armour.

I don't like passing judgement on a tank until it's elited, and you can review the upgrades. I suspect the AT-8 is a monster with the top gun.

I'm sure it is a monster, but with the other monsters in it's tier group, it's not quite as invincible as the AT2 was, although as soon as you came up against a few enemy players who knew what they were doing you'd be toast pretty quickly.

I could never hit that commanders spot, :D. To be honest, I don't think I'm that good at the game really, :D. I've tried to do a bit of reading to learn how to play better, but whenever I try to do what stuff on the net says, it seems to make no difference, :D

I've learn't alot by watching Jingles and Quickybaby, Jingles isn't a bad player but he's good at reviews. Quicky is epic to watch and you can pick up a lot from his video's.

I admit that the Stug and SU-85 at tier 5 are much more fun to play than the AT-2. Tier 6 sucks to be a TD as you get match making against Tier 8 and without the top guns unlocked it's painful.

I'm trying out WoT in SLI but can't get it to work with SLI enabled (just a white screen). I've seen a number of errors reported around the 8.4 patch but I was wondering if anyone here has SLI working with Nvidia 5 series cards?

    Thanks for the list.

I don't think any of them are up to much; the churchill III is probably the best choice. People have posted crazy scores in it. Low alpha and a weak turret though. T-25 might be good.

I own the french tier III; slower than a Maus with possibly the best gun of its tier and 400 view range. Micro maus is nerfed; Its armour doesn't work anymore and the gun is awful. I'll probably sell mine sometime.

Do you even need SLI at 1920x1200 with a GTX580? I'm pushing 32fps on High @ 1920x1200 with my donkey ass old GTX280

WoT gives pathetic framerates considering it isn't anything special to look at. My GTX 560Ti struggles with Extra Effects set above low and Water Quality above medium. The devs need to pull their fingers out and fix it instead of thinking of more ways to make the game more of a grind for non premium users.

I've just put 2 x GTX 560's (non-Ti) in as I got them both in a good deal, the GTX 580 will be going in my new Ivy Bridge rig I am building (awaiting an SSD).

I'm playing it on a single GTX 560 at the moment but need more games to be able to see if it is any good. I always play with everything dialled up to 11 so having SLI working would be nice.

My settings with a GTX280, even running the latest drivers. Always get over 30fps with no frame tearing or drops

Don't get me wrong, running WoT on just one GTX 560 on max settings is fine, I'm thinking of other games as well. I was just wondering if anyone had got SLI working.

    Sent from my phone...
