Considering they only showed American cable tv on the Xbox event i always wondered how it would work in the UK, i know freeview is an option but really? Sky would make an interesting partner to make the most out of the TV part of it,

Waiting to see real gameplay from E3 before i make any further judgement.

Don't they already have a relationship with Sky anyway? I thought you could already subscribe to Sky through XBL.

No good for me anyway as I am with Virgin cable (and FreeSat).

Have people seen this rumor about serious yield problems caused by the use of eSRAM? Worries it could lead to severe clock issues.

If they would have problems producing eSRAM's, then that would indicate a huge issue with the whole 32nm manufacturing process - SRAM is the first thing which is tested and made when going to new manufacturing process. Hell, GlobalFoundries had ~50% yield on eSRAM in 2009.

And even if AMD/GlobalFoundries has yield problems, why would that matter to Microsoft ? AMD/GlobalFoundries are hired to create and deliver a product for a specified price, it is their problem if they are bleeding money on it.

Which quickly becomes Microsofts problem if they miss deadlines, that already look pretty tight to begin with.

Correct. I saw the news too on Microsoft own XBox website. I was about to post it, but you beat me to it.

The sad thing is that Microsoft will have some exclusive content on Call Of Duty, and present Halo at E3, and just to get retro gamers, will put Crash Bandicoot, all will be launch titles, and people will wait outside the stores to rush and buy the XBox One, no question asked.

Not to forget that SpikeTV is the exclusive broadcast of E3, AND that Microsoft made a deal with SpikeTV to exclude as much as possible Sony and Nintendo. Gaining most air time for Microsoft. That means now people who watch SpikeTV and doesn't really know what's going on the scene about the consoles and games.. will think that the XBox One is awesome, and that this is the console to get, as there is nothing else.

Awesome, MS have made a console I can't use at home... and probably won't use anywhere else... which is a shame as I did [and do] enjoy playing games on the 360...

and before anyone asks about 'can't use' -

Can't use kinect... even the biggest room in my place, with all the furniture removed is too small to use kinect in... plus I use my 360 sat at my desk, with it connected to my PC monitor rendering the sensor useless...

I often use my xbox in my bedroom... which is not the room that the router is located, meaning it's not connected to the internet... 'but WiFi!' microsoft will claim... that'd be awesome if i could get a wifi signal in my room... which, thanks to the sizeable chunk of Victorian brickwork between my room and the router, I can't... 'yes... but Mobile Data!' do **** off... firstly I only get 500Mb a month, and secondly the 3G data connection is about as trustworthy and relaible as your average politician... it having to phone home once a month I could cope with, once a week is tolerable... once a day? that's urine extracting territory... and not being able to play games if it can't phone home... you what? even Steam/Origin doesn't throw that kind of hissy fit...

    ... and breathe ...

It seems like MS have made every effort possible to put me off buying one... not that anyone at MS will cry over that...

Same here - I have a dedicated media room with a projector lower than head height. The room is too small for Kinect and it won't work with the projector anyway!

Last nights news was so depressing :sigh:

My mouse is hovering more than ever over the cancel button on my pre-order, among my friends I don't think I'm the only one either.

Seconded! they cost sod all now days, there's not setup, just plug them in and go.

Our entire house is home-plugged up, in fact the wireless is so awful that if I want to take a laptop or xbox into say the dining room then I'll also take a home-plug and a 2m Ethernet cable, why do anything else!

    Excuses, excuses :).

New kinnect has superwide lenses - Verge says "a 6 foot person was completely visible for the kinect at only 3-4 feet away from the sensor". Are you telling me you don't have one meter in front of your TV ? And you don't have to use Kinnect for the sporting games, you can use it just for the gestures if needed.

As others said, homeplugs. I have a 60Mbit ethernet thanks to a homeplugs on a completely opposite side of a relatively big appartment, about 12 meters from the router and the other homeplug.

    Let's see...

    - forced to be online to play games (every 24h you need to connect atleast once)
    - Kinect 2.0 taking pictures and recording voice 24/7 (hello NSA!)
    - games not tradeable (only to one single friend, who needs to be on your friendlist for atleast 30 days)
    - less powerful hardware than the PS4 (DDR3 vs DDR5 and only 1.6GHz vs 2.0GHz)

Nope, sorry Microsoft. I'm not going to buy your Spybox No.1.

I don't use Steam or Origin etc, I don't use a Smartphone, I don't use WiFi, I don't have a Webcam... all for a reason. I don't want to be observed and spied on constantly.

There's only one socket in my room, and unless things have changed those homeplug things don't work connected to a splitter...

I don;t have a TV... but no, even with the improved sensor there wouldn't be enough room [to say my gaf was tiny would somewhat of an understatement]... and unless you can wall-mount the sensor there would be nowhere to put the sensor...

contrary to what MS thinks we don't all live in big american-sized houses...
