I would say that's not a totally unreasonable suit. Seems to me that she had a reasonable expectation that the university would take efforts to see that large, heavy objects don't fall on their students while they are in class.
So, she's suing for "loss of enjoyment of life" and "embarrassment and humiliation", instead of her constant headaches? Man, I hate this "compensation nation" age we live in now, it's bloody ridiculous. It's your own fault if you trip over on the pavement when walking down the street, it's your own fault if you're trying to carry objects that are too heavy for you, and it's your own fault for whatever other crap they show on the Injury Lawyers adverts. Why can't these idiots take a hint? They're just all greedy b***ards.
more moeny = why not? One guys tried to steal from a vending machine.. shook it so hard that it fell on top of him. He sued the company owning the vending machines and got a huge amount of compensation for it even though in the first place it was all his fault, and added to the fact he had the intent of stealing from it. Geez
Um, the constant headaches would be considered loss of enjoyment of life. It's also not her fault that the moose head fell from the wall on top of her. Perhaps read and then think before posting? This isn't one of the frivalous lawsuits although it's probably going to be for way more then what she should get.
quoted because he seems to be the only intelligent one from WV she does deserve something for the fact that a moosehead fell on her, it's not a case of retard A put cup of coffee in lap and got burned then sued it's a case of person A was sitting in class when something fell on her as for the vending machine one, ever shook a vending machine because it didn't dispense your item properly? i know i have
