I don't know which thermal compound will work the best. There are 3 different types. I will be happy with personal experiences or Pure data.

    Here they are

    ARCTIC COOLING MX-1 Thermal Compound

    or

    ARCTIC COOLING MX-2 Thermal Compound

    or

    Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound

They are all on newegg.com also if u want to look!

    I love comments also!!!:D

    Thanks, Ace:thumb:

Depends on how often you plan on changing processors or whatever in the system. MX-1 or 2 works great and will last like 8 years effectiveness, and is non-conductive. Arctic Silver will last for 2 years or so before losing its effectiveness. I've read many reviews regarding both, and seems the MX paste tends to work a bit better than Silver. I have both Arctic Silver 5 and MX-1 and have seen a small improvement with MX-1.

    They both work fine, really.

id go with the mx-2, as ive read lots of good things about it. all three of them are nice, but id say mx-2 is the best and as5 is the worst of the bunch, especially since theyre both $5.95 at jab-tech.

I've heard that as5 is the best compound there is out there? I haven't try it myself but thats what I have read in many reviews.

Of the three, you will not get a significant improvement with one over the other. They all perform well.

Just make sure that you only use a tiny bit. (Thermal compound conducts heat better than air, but worse than heatsinks. The only job of the thermal compound is to make sure that the 2 surfaces have full contact with each other. I know nearly everyone on bit-tech knows this already, but for those who don't, I feel that it bears repeating....)
