is it any good slowing down the cpu fan for noise reduction or is it likely to kill ur pc?? and could u do it of a normal fanbus???

Anybody who overclocks their CPU or uses non standard cooling it should use MotherBoard Monitor to keep track of the CPU temperature.

When you keep an eye on it to make sure it's not getting too hot, it's fairly safe to play around with slowing fans down.

Note: If your machine subsequently fails to make it into windows....return fan to full speed ASAP !!

You could do that, but really I dont think its a good idea, unless your talking about a delta!

The Mechatronics really is a nice fan, and its not overly loud either... If you have it on a baybus, I recommend that you dont allow for it to be turned off, just have it so you can have 7V or 12V...

I just built myself a 6 switch baybus, which controls 9 fans. I didn't bother putting a switch in for the mechatronics, and I don't need to...it's very quiet indeed. I find I can sleep without any trouble with the Mechatronics, a 50x50x10 12CFM YS-Tech, an 80mm 45CFM YS-tech (which, to my ear, is louder than the 53CFM Mechatronics) and an 80mm 34CFM Superred. The superred and YS-Tech 80mms completely drown out the other fans.
