most people buying (I would think) probably installed a fan controller.. set it full out and hook it up to that

pretty nice they have the pot to adjust instead of a speed switch

I may actually grab one of these when I get back from the US, and stick it in my rig along with a GTX 460, OC the CPU and give it a bit more life in games. The Freezer 7 Pro is pretty decent, but I'd like something a bit more hardy.

i actually quite like the overall aesthetics, It should go well with the red look i have planned for my antec 1200.

could always go for the fenir xmas edition, or even better... mod my original freezer pro 7!

Hey this was not the usual quality of info I expect from Bit-Tech. Where was the descriptive intro and all the pictures showing us how the Frio would look inside a PC?

Also I know you guys love the Frenrir but where the heck was the Noctua NH-D14 in this ultra cool round up?

The Thermaltake Frio looks like a winner but....... We need to PLEASE see some some performance results of a Core i7 9?? overclocked to 4.0 ghz as this is what breaks out the wallet (and breaks the piggy bank).

I'd still go for the Fenrir myself... It's just so much better looking than a big hunk of plasitc.

Stupidest comment I read in a while.
Honestly, people like you put looks of a heatsink above its performance are just incredibly sad people.

solid review. noise is subjective. if they felt it was obtrusive they would have stated so in the review. in fact, i believe they mentioned with both fans it was loud to some degree. cant compare against everything, on every chip. you can take a reference in other reviews if you can find them.

i have a stupid question on everyone complaining about the looks here. Why cant you just paint the white fan something else and make it less plastic looking? paint is cheaper then two new fans.

I have one on these and all I can say is that it does what it says on the box! I replaced a LCWC system with a 240 rad with 4 fans in push pull config and this beats it hands down.
I run it on an 17 920 @ 4.2Ghz under full load around 70c with fans on 75% much higher and it is quite noisy. I could go no higher than around 4Ghz with my water cooling temps around 90c I know my solution is not the best WC out there but foir that much difference on air shows what a good cooler this is.
As far as looks go who cares then it doe sthe job as well as this top product

Seems to be doing a good job. I really didn't have much hope from thermaltake as a whole.

I think using the same fans on all the coolers would probably be a better way of testing though.

I'm really struggling to work out how to power my second fan on this cooler. Obviously the first is plugged in to CPU Fan, but I've got 2 spare chassis fan connectors and 1 power fan connector, all 3 of which are free, but can I use them?

Does any mobo have 2 CPU fan connectors?!

btw, mine is the P8P67. I'm installing right now if anyone can help out!

You can use either of the 2 chassis fan headers or, like me, I only used one fan on my Frio as the 2nd one was right next to my rear exhaust fan, like 1/4 on an inch gap.

Is one of the chassis fan headers a four pin one? If so, use that for now and then order one of these:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/phobya-y-cable-4pin-to-2x-4pin-pwm-and-1x-3pin-30cm-uv-white

You could probably make one as well easily enough.

If you just want it connected now until you sort out a splitter, just plug it into a 3 pin header. It will run at full speed but it will work.

Thank you guys. Splitter now on order, and I'm using CHA_FAN1 for the moment until splitter arrives. I guess I'll just tweak the speed of the CHA_FAN1 to medium or something.

Both fans fit in my case surprisingly, luckily I have 2 RAM blocks in blue slots on the P8P67 which are further away from the cooler fan. I panicked when I saw it, it's huge!
