    I don't see the point in them personally - I can't imagine a lot of people actually use them and so when people do it's probably for a negative reason rather than to support threads that are actually good - get rid of them imo.

    This forum isn't a democracy.

    Glad to see that you can make constructive comments after I have, no need to answer my question.

    Oh ye of little faith! 2 people out of your 80,000 membership cared enough to actively vote to keep the star ratings. Where 2 lead others might follow ;)

    There's more chance of the useful indicator vote winning than the Lib Dems ever making a come-back, quite rightly too :p

    I figure it will likely remain the same but I won't get bothered by it knowing it's BS for project logs. :)

    I guess I'm 50/50 on the subject. My steampunk mod is at like 4.something. Fine since some ppl don't like it and more do like it.

    I don't think I've ever used the star rating for anything.

    Until now.

    Teel, you get...... 5 stars .... :thumb:

    But did you vote to keep them? ;)

    So as it stands right now:

    • 2.778% of members who bothered to vote think the star rating system is a useful indicator;
      or
    • 0.0052% of forum members (based on the 38,584 membership it says on the front of the forum) think the star rating system is enough of a useful indicator to vote to keep it;
      or
    • 99.9948% don't, don't care or couldn't be a***d.

    Any news from super admin?

    Hmm.

    If most people don't care, there is no reason not to get rid of it.

    Although, if it takes effort to remove, there is no reason to get rid of it.

    What's your definition of effort? Checking to see if it can be done? Ticking a box? Adding a line or two of code when a developer is already working on system enhancements?

    And if it is causing problems there is every reason to get rid of it, not doing something because it takes effort is just plain lazy

    I assume you don't want my definition of effort but my definition of how much effort? To which I dunno. Just if it is rather time consuming or awkward to do I guess (I'm not saying it is).

    I still maintain that it shouldn't be causing problems. Apparently nobody (hardly anyone) pays attention to it so there is no reason to worry about it.

    If you are gonna get upset every time someone dislikes / trolls something you do then you need to learn to grow a thicker skin or the internet is not the place for you.

    Comments in the threads themselves show people's true opinions, just pay attention to those.

    :D I'm unsubscribing from this, trying to re focus on ignoring ratings after me going mad & handing sledgehammers out to whack my rating. :hehe:
