I just read in the newpaper that there is a house in London that is being sold for about $1.1 million canadian. The odd thing about this house it that it is only 3 meters wide at it's widest, and apparantly is about 1.5 meters at it's thinnest. I've tried google to see if I can find any more info about this home, but no luck. So I figured that since a lot of my fellow members live in the area, I'd ask around to see if you've heard of this, and might know a website that has more info?

The article said that it used to be a hat shop if that helps....

    Thanks :D

Its probably sold for so much because its one of a kind and probably in the centre Londen. We have Tiny streets in Bruges, one street is about 2 metres wide. The houses are probably wider then 3 meter though, lol.

Is the house red? Could it be the smallest house in britain or am I talking about another house?

*Just did a stupid thing here, I typed my post into the google search and pressed search! :wallbash: *

Now I'm gonna search google for the house.

The photo in the newspaper showed it as dark grey....No photos of the interior though.

(Also before anyone make a joke, Yes the newpaper was in color :) )

    *EDIT*
Also, I think it was 5 stories. The article said that there was a terrace that "Boasts a panoramic view of London's west end"

Isn't $1.1 canadian only about £350k? If so I could very well belive it.

    Edit: ~£515k bit pricey.

not really considering its in the west end.....so basically central london is at ur doorstep...yeah 515k is alot of money but people who live in teh west end gnerally would have money to burn anyways...and its a good move if u think about it as the price of that property would allways stay high.....and even make a tidy profit on it.

I have seen an article on that house in the newspaper. It was built in an alleyway between two houses and now joins them together. Very silly looking but has a good location and excellent interior design.

ROFL I just had the funniest thought of some really fat people getting wedged in the hallway and the staircase.

Yo'd have to be really fat to get stuck though. Even if the hallway and staircase were each half the width of the house, each would still be about 1.3-1.4m wide. Doors are only 1.2 wide. You'd get just as stuck in any other "normal" house.

Thanks for the help finding the site. I was dying to see what the inside of it looked like.

I'm a little worried about the giant buzz saw in the kitchen however. I mean, what could they possibly have that would require a saw that big to cut it. Looks like something that would be used in a lumber yard.
