Hi every one, I have already lapped all my water blocks, when I going to lap my CPU I realized I no longer have that plastic holder came from the CPU, so what do I use to hold the CPU while lapping it? Any info will be appreciated.

i used some black PVC tape when i did mine, as you dont have to worry about bending any pins!

I guess some thick cardboard or mdf with a Core 2 shaped hole in it would work nicely,.

G got hired as to hold my goodies.

I used a pc of foam from the shipment and some painter tape just for my comfort while lapping, and it does but the results doesn't turn out as I expected, I don't think I will like lapping now. I am not a good photographer and any comments are welcome. Will do some extreme OC after I have done with my case and sleeving. Thanks guys.

Looks much much better than before. Nice job.

Can I ask what fan that is in the case reflecting off one of the blocks?

ermm... It's not supposed to be shiny if you want best thermal performance.

That is Gelid Wing, I think is a quality copyed from the Germany Nanoxia. It is very weak but looks nice compare to the others, very quiet as well.

Isn't the shinier the better? I am still a newbie of lapping. Thanks.

It's supposed to be _slightly_ rough. for best thermal performance.

    Shiny just looks good :p
