Yikes!! I have a similar poster, with Starship stats showing the difference in system specs from the Constellation class, to the Galaxy class Starships. We're not weird, it's all of THEM!
Having a queue of people behind me waiting for me to explain subnet masks to them in my CISCO class (why do people do classes they have no particular interest in?). Quite frightningly, whereas I used to say f.t.w. to my equally nerdy friends, I now occasionally say "cheesecake" before correcting myself I suppose that's what 3+ hours of forum lurking a day does to you.

Getting really irritated when people say “gigs” when referring to hard drive size, usually in an audio player. Gig-what?!
Getting really annoyed when people refer to "gigs" as live music, rather than audio players? It infers leaving the house. (Haven't been to one in 6 months now! Missed Incubus last week too) And I'm SO annoyed I know what that that NCC.....D is the TNG Trekker.

Seeing a guy with a Green Lantern T-Shirt on, and wondering if he bought it because he reads it, or if he liked the symbol. Caring that Che Guevara spent his life fighting capitalism, only to end up on millions of T-shirts, worn by people who don't know who he is. (9/10 people. I have tested this by asking everyone I see with a Che shirt on.) Knowing what 127.0.0.1 is. Saying 'Theres no place like 127.0.0.1' And this conversation I had with my supervisor at work yesterday: Steve - "What processor is in that machine Mat?" Me - *Checks system info and shouts model across* Steve - Ah ok thats why [random bit of convo I dn't remember] Me - Why, whats in the laptop? Steve - This? Oh its a core 2 duo...E4300 I think. Me - "Lists specs of E4300 instantly* Steve - Thats right... what FSB? Me - 800. *wry grin*
Mm. I know more about my car than I know about my wife. Same for my computer. My hobbies consist of Photography, Computers(!), and cars... so thrilling.
