I'm a bit of an emotional fella and certain things get me all emotional. like the first time I walked up into the stands of Maine Road, most of The Last of the Mohicans and sadly when Ray sang You'll never walk alone on X Factor a few years back. So I thought i'd try and gauge what gets people all tingly? I'll start with his, the introduction to a Metallica concert with the San Fran Philharmonic Orchestra and the tune to the end sequence of The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.
In my honest opinion S&M is distinctly over-rated. A song that makes me tingle: There are things other than music, if I think of them I'll come back.
All sorts of stuff for me, from nirvana to mariah carey - older stuff anyway, not the later crap she made. There are heaps of songs out there that can make me feel a little tingle, but if i put in a little concentration, i can make the tingle stong all over, so all the little hairs, as in along my arms, legs, neck etc all stand up to attention Allthough it's easier to do it while listening to some good music, i can do it without hearing the music, just thinking/remembering it. The effect is strong, all of my skin will go from being smooth, to having huge goosebumps, in about 15-30 seconds, and back to normal again in about another 30 seconds, when the buzz has all gone. I can only do this strongly a ~few times per day, not that i do it every week. I wonder how many here can also do this?
Most of this movie really, but this scene is f*****g awesome I dont know why soulja boy is at the end though lol
The intro to Hurricane 2000 by Scorpions. Showing Metallica how symphony and music get mixed. Brilliant. Dream Theater's "The Spirirt carries on" Vanilla Sky (the film) The roar of the crowd on Maiden's Rock in Rio DVD
Yeah, I do love the crowd on that Maiden gig, especially on Blood Brothers when Bruce gets them all clapping along.
Platsic - try the "King Edward the great" Mix of that night's "Fear of the Dark"... OMG! they're singing along EVERY WORD, and the melodies... it's insane
Yeah, got that. It's in Dortmund I think and they are heavily involved! Phantom of the Opera on Youtube at Ullevi in Sweden is pretty good too.
That, and No Leaf Clover: Fantastic concert. And I don't even like Metallica that much. Oh, and InFlames - Everlost Part 2 is pretty damn nice.
Singing along to anything with a big crowd will do it every time for me. It's better if I'm on stage at the time, but our gigs have extremely mediocre attendance.
