The case is 2.6L. Quite small. When it's done i'll do the obligatory coke can shot/beer bottle shot to show it's true size

Thanks dude, a small update to do soon re: HDD rack. finding some screws now in my 1 litre tub of misc parts XD

 

HDD rack time! Hand formed with a cigarette lighter, and hand cut with my trusty dremelclone, I present the finest in ghetto racks!





It holds two 2.5" HDDs (or SSD's when I purchase one). Still need to work out mounting to the case though without ruining the smooth external lines!

Edit: Before somebody mentions I have fixed the wonky connectors on the SATA power lines..

This is amazing, I recently decided to build a ubuntu powered xbmc machine for my living room and decided on the same itx board because it is available super cheap. I had a few questions now that I have all of my parts amassed and assembled, it does not turn on - fail

1. what is the pin out for the f-panel connector, I thought it was this standard pinout from intel.

2. if my power supply is a 20+4 pin with a 4 pin cpu header do I need to do anything with the extra connectors? or just plug the 20 pin into my hp adapter i got on eBay?

any help would be appreciated.

But I have to ask, where did you get a pci-e extension that short? I need one.

 

What cpu did you choose? The pinout on the front panel is standard Intel specs.
Should just be a straight plug and play with the PSU adapter, providing the adapter you bought is pin-for pin identical pinout to atx specs.. I bought a HP slimline PSU from a different model and the pinout was wack!

Found it on fleabay, buying history is gone so can't find the vendor.. sorry!

To do:
Buy a GT220 for gpu - my HD5450 doesn't work in this board!
Save for a 2.33ghz Core2Duo
Buy a slim 120mm fan for the side panel

Mount the hard drive rack
Devise a mounting system for the side panel
Decide on vertical or horizontal orientation

 

So small.. and quite.. Really good work here !

 

It's okay, I realized I could shorten the one I had. Probably not as perfect as buying on but hopefully it will work.

I'm keeping an Eye on this one, looks like your going to do some great work.

 

Re-did the rear panel and cut a small hole in the side for the GPU cooling. Ordering a HD4550 on Wednesday!
Now to find some 1mm aluminium to cut a rear panel from!




Also have pulled off all the white now, thinking of a new design.

 

Realtek audio

I'm interested in MOCA-AR motherboard also, but want to know does the built-in audio support DTS CONNECT or Dolby Digital Live features.

Confusis, could you please check these options in the driver? Note, you should have correct audio drivers installed from HP and not from Realtek!

AmitIT, the driver lists RTS on the RCA port, as well as Digital. No 'connect' or 'live' mentioned though.

 

Orange plexi, watercooling, smooth edges. What elese do you need?

W/C is in, leak tested and working..ish

I upgraded CPU to a T5300, 3 watts more, and wow did the temps jump on even the air cooler!
Went from 20 idle 50 load to 50 idle 80 load! Mustn't have been much more capacity in that lil heatsink.

Finalised the W/C loop, is running right now with me using it! 42 idle 60 load. 34watt cpu.. must be the small bore.. hmm
