Good morning I was wondering it was possible to get some advice or feedback on upgrading some vitals in my computer. I've been questioning upgrading to dx10 yet and was wondering if I should go with something like a x1950pro untill late next year? Anyway I'm thinking of upgrading my graphics card and mobo/RAM. Curent Spec is: NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT (256MB), A8N-SLI Premium mainboard, 2GB of standard Kingston RAM. Thanks for any feedback in advance.
its already "outdated" it probably would be a bit of a waste of money next year?! not at all saying theyre bad cards or whatever I just think that that timing would be wrong.
Are you having problems with the current setup? If no, then why upgrade? There's no use in upgrading "because you can"...
I would say that you might want to upgrade to something like a 1950Pro, but I would wait until November before you make any decisions, there are probably going to be some new cards out on the market by then.
My current is all well and good for this moment in time however with new games out this year I'd like to play them in better graphics then I have currently. So to Glider I'm not upgrading because "I can" I'm wanting to upgrade because I should. Ie the asking for advice part. Thankyou for your feedback so far.
Even the top-of-the-line graphic cards such as the Ati HD 2900 series and the nVidia 8800 series struggle with DX10. I would save my money and simply wait until the second generation of DX10 cards come out next year. Until then, what you have will do nicely for DX9.
