I've been thinking of buying myself a Matrix Orbital MX630, and I wondered if anyone who owns one, or anything like it, could tell me how difficult I'd probably find it to get it to display what I'd want.

I want a display of the time in the ISO 8601 format i use for documents, like below, which should work out at exactly the 20 char limit for the first line :

    YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssTZD
    eg:
    2006-02-24T03:39:33Z

In the second line, I'd like the CPU temp in kelvin (K = °C + 273.15).

You should be able to do that very easily with LCDC, the software it'll come with. If you can't, then LCDSmartie can definately do it.

Remember to post pics for us! :thumb:

iv got the pled matrix orbital. and one of its stock settings is the time. also it uses "lcdc" as the program to control it which includes a rather good screen builder

You can make your own custom scripts in LCDC. To be sure better ask in their support forums.

Sounds like a cool project, but why do you want the temp in kelvin?

Just because its the standard measurement really, to match the way the time is written :)
