http://www.pcs-electronics.com/Products/n1.shtml a PCI radio transmitter! I'd like one! Well I'd prefer making my own...
wew that is cool, you could broadcast your bangin mixes throughout the house Bit too expensive for me tho so relix, you make them and sell them to us at a squid each
...and is even useful: http://www.pcs-electronics.com/Products/n10.shtml ! a bit pricy though, but if you're stalking someone it'd be cool =)
i have a small black box that can transmit whatever i'm watching on tv to any TV that tunes into the same chan within a 500meter distance. slightly illegal.
erm, the DTI don't take too kindly to broadcasts like that. I remember that in the early 90s the pirate stations could only broadcast during the weekends because that when the feds would be off work, now they have weekend raids. I do beleive they have the power to impound all equipment indefinately if they catch you, and I don't think you can just unplug and give them the card. I would hate to see my rig being driven away in a big black van... Shame, cos it looks like such a good idea.
me problems with CB radios, Was running a pork pie international (Ham band radio) At 400watts thru a linear, Key'd the mic once. Within 25 minutes i had a knock on the door, they took my £600 Ham radio, £40 40channel Uniden £120 President Lincoln with digital freqeuncy read out display, I was to say the least gutted, So i sold my ariel >_<
in my house we have a pile of old cb radios (the am kind that are illegel in the uk) but we do hold licences of all of them, yes even tho they are am they have fm bnads on as well (just 1 switch between legal & illegal) & most of the time its better listening than talking (i once came across a couple having cb radio intercourse) shame it messes up my pc as there all so high powered grrrrrrr
I know this guy on the internet who has done a lot of illegal radio stuff (like in the early days when internet was just for universities, he put a transmitter on the PC in the university so he could have internet at his home 150km away through radio) and he said a license really isn't that expensive. And I want a CB!
