Notebooks Thoughts on a new laptop

So its my wifes 30th in a couple of months and she really wants a new laptop. My knowledge of laptops is pretty low but she needs it for work and surfing the internet mainly. Office applications including MS Project. Want something smart, slim with a reasonable screen and good battery life. I am considering one of these

but am wondering if anyone can suggest anything else. Budget is no more than £450.00 (and she won't be playing games so GPU isn't a consideration. )

When I was looking at laptops, I liked the Lenovo keyboards/trackpad, and the specs weren't bad for the price.

Either that or find a Dell for a good price.
