    Most decent FPS's require that you rent a dedi to serve it on, hence not free.
    The days of "buy a copy at your local computer store and thats it", is over.
    First off you will most likely buying it digitally, secondly, most games these days will release expansion, be episodic, or have some sort of monthly fee (esp for MMO genre). You can pay for an entire years worth of gaming with the equivalent of one good night out on the town. Breathe deep and enjoy the hobby.

    The reason Warhammer Age of Reckoning did so badly is mainly down to an idiot called Mark Jacobs. He cost a lot of us our jobs.

    Since Jacobs has NOTHING to do with Warhammer 40k and THQ, I remain cautiously optimistic.
