any one know if Asetek waterchill gpu block will fit on the 6600? I have it on my 4600 and I was thinking of upgrading mainly for size (my "case" is really small) and for a performance boost. But to make it worthwile I was hoping to be able to use my Asetek waterchill block from my ti 4600. Asetek says it fits all the geforce series, but I haven't found any info on the newer cards.

also how much difference can I expect, the 4600 is really starting to show its age I think.

Should be a massive difference. DX8 stuff probably none, but in DX9 (anything made in the last 2 years) will show a huge improvement. AA and AF will run fine without the huge performance hit you get with the Gf4 series.

Cooler wise not sure, if the cooler doesnt fit, you could either mod or maybe get a new hold down so it does..

It should do. I have a GF4 ti4200 and GF6600GT cooler handy and the mounting thingys are in the exact same place.

Unless you've got an AGP 6600GT, thenh you have to cool the HSI bridge chip as well, and the only people I know of that do a water block for that as well is Aquacomputer...

I went from a ti4200 o/c (which gave me 16000 points on 3dmark01) to a 9800pro at stock and by god the difference was huge...

going to a 6600gt would be a world of difference.
