The thought hit me last night while in one of my deep thought-ridden trances (ok i was watching TV). Is it just me, or could this be the greatest winter for gaming since, well, ever? Off the top of my head, in alphabetical order, we have: Banjo Kazooie: Nuts n Bolts, Call of Duty 5, CnC 3, Dead Space, Fable 2, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Gears of War 2, Guitar Hero World Tour, Left 4 Dead, LittleBigPlanet, Mirrors Edge, Prince of Persia, Resistance 2, Rock Band 2, that's just the stuff out THIS year. Next year we have Heavy Rain, Resident Evil 5, Killzone 2, MadWorld, etc etc etc. Three cheers for the games industry and its fallen heroes!!!!
but could they not have tried and staggered all these releases over a longer period i bought 3 new games last week and god only knows when ill get the time to actually play them you never mentioned Midnight Club LA. am i the only person enjoying this game?? looking forward to the new CoD tbh
Good call! Been waiting what seems like forever for some decent games, and now I'm drowning in a sea of lime-green DVD boxes.
LOL i know (and this is just from a console - X360 - perspective), that i need another paycheck on top of what i'm making already, just to sortof keep up: Guitar Hero WT - WITH the guitar at least... then i can coop it with the missus GOW2 Dead Space Left For Dead Mirror's Edge Fallout 3 Far Cry 2 Fable II (maybe for the missus - not so much for me) and that's just the NEW heavy hitters titles... i've been keeping gaming on a lowdown for a couple of months now, so the other games i want are Grid Soul Calibur The latest burnout and some others... at 600-800 NAD a pop, that's quite a bit of money (considering that i make less than 10 games a month BEFORE BILLS - after tax, and i make good money)
I was thing the same thing my games want list is huge in addition to some of yours I also have Motorstorm, tombraider and prince of persia after christmas there is HAWX, GoW3, GT5, RE5 and FFXIII, Last Remnant, so many games so little time, gonna be a good few months of gaming for me, in fact there are probably enough titles to take me through to 2010.
Don't forget Empire Total War You're right though, every year, each fall/winter release schedule seems to get better and better.
Don't buy them all now. Buy one and play it, then the next one and so on. As you go through your list they will get cheaper.
my nearest game shop is 30 miles away, its not really convient to drive there every few weeks. otherwise id buy them singlely yeh
wheres the fun in that i live in ireland its abit of a pain. Get killed with postage on a uk site. and i like getting the game the day i decide i want it, dont like waitin on the post. bit impatient i was just saying its a pain they release so many games at once
But Jamie can you resist the temptation....the want...the need to play computer games... But on a serious note. I do agree that this could be one of the greatest winters ever. Reminds me of the days where I had endless games to buy and play like Medal of Honour, ah... those were the days...
