Windows timezone.exe in task manager uses 100% CPU? virus?

    as the title says, i found this using 100% CPU and no matter how much i close it it reopens, all i found on google was that is the autoupdate from MS for the time

    anyone else have this and knows how to fix it

    Yes, it is a virus. Find out where it is located on your HDD (ctrl+alt+del, take note of the name of the process, start>search, and write down the location). Reboot, hit F8 while starting (just after your BIOS loads), and enter into safe mode. From there, navagate into the folder where the file is, and copy it onto a floppy disk, and delete it from the location on your HDD. Now boot, and make sure everything runs correctly.

    If this fails, and your computer bursts into flames, simply re-insert said disk in safe mode (as outlined above), and copy the file back to it's original location, and promptly go out and spend $500 on a computer faster than my wrist-watch, as I'm not so sure about your current rig.








    Can't you just smell the sarcasim in that last line? :p
