Firstly, I know its actually aluminium foil, but tin sounds cooler..

My PC has been giving our houses digital some headaches, such as no reception what so ever when my PC is on. So instead of buying a new case sans-windows, I raided the larder.

    The results:

I know, its pretty leen. I found an old, longer power switch and extended it out of the case, covered the windowd panel, and the drive bays, while leaving the front 'slots' open to feed my radiator. Just check the DVD drive hole. You don't get that sort of quality on a Lian-Li :p

Have you tried just putting it in another room?

Its my PC, so it has to be in my room. I really don't care about the looks, aslong as it serves its purpose.

Any idea where the signals are comming from? Cheap powersupply/modded powersupply/cooling pump? Something is causing the trouble, find it and kill it.

that's one uber cool mod! i love the way you show the hard effort and work by leaving the sellotape on visible. it shows grit and craftsmanship! hehe.

Have you thought about using spray paints with flakes of metal, might stop some interference, not that there is anything wrong with it the now :D but on a serious note, if somethings stopping your PC signal, thats bad as the only things I know I have that do that are hairdryers (my sisters, not mine!) and the hoover

Manks how about you use double sided sticky tape and line the INSIDE of you case with foil. Same effect, better looks. :D

    Anyway nice ghetto mod. :thumb:

Mankz this has to be your best work yet. If only you had put this much care and attention into watery :nono:

But really couldn't you just shield the case from the inside out. Or make a mod out of it, maybe sandwich some tin foil in between perspex, if it was possible to get it remotely flat.

    lol cool office prank :hehe:

As for the reception problem, how about improoving the shielding & reception signal of your house's digital, instead of uglyfying your pc? There must be other devices in the house that also interfere such as hairdryers, vaccum cleaners, etc, no point wrapping everything in the house in tin foil, or the place is gonna end up looking like that office cubicle :hehe:
