i want my watercooling to have a very impressive shower effect on the front of the res. but my current pump doesn't quite push the water out as much as i hope so is there a tiny pump (only needed for this shower effect) that uses the computers power and capable of having 1/8" - aqua computer tubes being put through?

    Thanks for in advance

    Ed

    DDC if you want Power.
CSP-MAG if you want uber small!

    Both would do it ;)

windshield wiper pump maye do the job. they are 12V and probably have 1/8 fittings. although not sure on fitting size probably different for every make/model

Umm... going by the vague description, I think you just need to pick up an aquajet.

yer i have a aquajet but i have used a small pump in the past but it needed mains power (+ with my eheim 1048 needing mains power at lans its more of a hassle to get 2 extra power slots... which is why i needed computer powered one), and it (the small pump) provided a better looked - much more powerful effect than just if i ran the single eheim.

i think a mag has been proven more powerfull than a 1048, so if u got two and used them in parallel you should get the waterfall affect out the aquajet that you desire, plus both the pumps would be 12v <- that come with a 3pin fan connection and could be run off a fan header, or your aquero for that matter (and not to mention mags are only 2" square saves space in the case), no need for a extra plug, and u get better flow all round :D

seems like a win win situation :thumb:

The CSP-MAG has unresolved leakage issues (extensively explored on ProCooling forums) and the current opinion amongst watercooling geeks is to avoid it, and choose the Laing DCC instead.

Yout got to be kidding me, back when I was asking if it was a good pump everyone said it was sweet and there wernt any problems with them! So I bought it a month ago but havent been able to test it yet. They Leak!!!??!!!! Now im scared to put it in my new rig. *pokes it with a stick* All the specs I can find on it say its leak proof due to not a shaft seal. Now Im scared to put this in with my $1500 worth of shiny new pc parts.

The CSP-MAG also has issues of rust... see here.

Laing DDC/ D5 is the way to go ;)

Does it matter? Are you a modder or a mouse? :p

You have to understand that PC watercooling is a constantly evolving field. New stuff comes out, improvements are made (or at least, attempted). New stuff is tried and tested, and experience of long-term reliability is gained only in the long term. As such our knowledge base constantly evolves and updates as well. This is why you should always stay updated and never get complacent, and be prepared to experiment a bit.

If it is any consolation, I made several changes to my setup while I was building it, including the pump (from a Johnson CM30P7-1 to a Davies-Craig EBP).
