Well, new year coming soon i imagine there will be some good prices to be had... I've spent the last two days hunting around on the internet for a case that can except a 120.2 raditor straight out the box, simple screw in no hassle job where i dont have to pick up a single cutting tool. My current Lian li V1000b has done me well over the years, but its too small for water cooling, i have tried many times, but its the mounting of the raditor that has always caused me a head ache. list so far with price decending. Coolermaster RC-1000 Cosmos Coolermaster HAF 932 Akasa Omega Akasa AK-BKINF-02 Infiniti Zor Case The Infiniti Zor might be a winner for me at £75, how ever i really want to see a raditor mounted up top in it before i commit my money. At the end of the day i want an easy case to slap water cooling in, with out hassle of modding. Is this too much to ask?
Do you want a Thermochill PA120.2 or any 120x2 rad? All those cases will take a 240mm rad but the PA120.2 has the irregular spacing and so requires cutting.
cheers for that, i forgot that the thermochills are daft! most likely i shall fit either a TFC Xchanger 120.2 or a Black Ice GT Xtreme 240, something decent with a standard layout.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the Feser rads also have the different layout. The Black Ice GTX is a great rad though, seem to be getting a bit pricey at the moment but their heat dissipation is second to none for their size.
I think i am going to go for the Omega, needs some colour and maybe a window. Will order in the new year and see upon arrival.
Have a look at this Omega mod. They're just some pics, I will see if I can find the work log. Ninja edit: worklog Ninja edit 2: was also "featured" here on Bit linky
i bumped into a few pics of that case, but never saw water cooling installed. I found a thread devoted to the Akasa 62 case and all its versions, which includes the Omega and that pretty much sold it for me! Yeah the front panel is ulgy, but the space and ability to install a rad in the roof, all for ~£120 isn't that bad, considering what other brands offer.
