Is Steveo and the Cupertino Crew wanting to get into the PVR buisness? Could be, according to the stockmarket, which reacted to the rumours by making Tivo shareholders happy. This from Reuters:

NEW YORK (Reuters) - TiVo Inc. shares jumped more than 17 percent on Wednesday, fueled by speculation that Apple Computer Inc. might make a try to buy the digital video recorder maker, analysts said.

"What we hear on the street is that Apple is interested in their business and that they are a takeout target," said analyst Steven Kroll Jr. of Monness, Crespi, Hardt & Co.

Representatives for Apple and TiVo both declined comment.

I don't see them changing much of Tivo other than the interface with the user and yes, casing will probably be white.

But I can definitely see them bringing in a whole lot of Mac-Compatible Tivo stuff. Hook up to your Mini and all that.

Oh so true! the single button mouse is probably the biggest point stopping me from investing in a MacMini. That and the annoyingly different OSX

they will shrink the size of it by 0.0001%, and call it a revolutionary design breakthrough.

    Shuffle!

That includes volume, channel and power all in one. Sounds like fun, with a 50% chance of your TV randomly turning off every minute :hehe:

/me will keep his tuner card

Actually the Mac Mini doesn't come with a mouse, if I recall right.

Either way, you can buy a 2 button USB mouse and it's supported natively by the OS.

Except for the fact that Mac OS doesn't have any need for the second button so they just map it to "shutdown".

Yeah, I had my KVM hooked up and could switch with my MX700 no problem. Worked the same on both OSes.
