Ive seen the new Silverstone TJ11 going on sale on a couple of sites now. I am sure it is an excelent case but can anyone really justify $590 for a case? Especially when the TJ07 is already and awesome case and is "only" $330? As far as I can tell your paying for the same case with better air cooling and a bit different styling but thats about it? Now don't get me wrong Id love to have one , I just can't see many people forking over that kind of money for one. Thoughts?
Cases don't really lose their value, so in a way the price isn't a huge problem.... Then again, 600 bucks for a pile of metal is just too much.
I guess my point is where is the extra $260 worth of features over the TJ07 come from? Sure its probably an improvement over the TJ07 but is it $260 more case?
The TJ11 does indeed look lovely, but it's way out of my price range! Anyone know if they will make a smaller, cheaper version of it? I'd like a case with a similar style and quality, but I've no need for all that space in the lower compartment.
And €550 @ Caseking. Whatever is the justification for this price, it doesn't work. I mean Lian Li PC-X2000 is 100€ cheaper. The holes in middle also look... ugly. At least they should have covered them with mesh.
Erm... It's a double wall design? And it's bigger than the TJ07... Just all adds up to more materian and machining costs.
In other words, Silverstone made a case to boost their ego, because it is pretty much impossible to sell it at that price, and because it costs much more than anything else on market with few exceptions like Level 10 and OrigenAE cases. Maybe this is their best of the best case they produced - but creating the product is not about making the best of the best. It is about creating a product at acceptable price with best feature set. Is all the extra stuff really worth it ? I'm not that sure.
I can see $600 if it is their Super-Deluxe-Luxury-Mega Special edition. Car companies do it all the time with "Special Edition" cars. But I still don't see that many features that would put it that far ahead of the TJ07. Again don't get me worng I would LOVE to get my hands on one of these I just can't see myself paying that much for a TJ11, where I could see myself purchasing a TJ07.
