Xbox 360 To buy or not to buy

Well Ive wanted a 360 for a while tbh (all my friends in south wales play them) and now ive moved to north wales and none of em game on the PC and none now on PS3 Im debating getting a arcade with Gow 2 for £149.. but is it really worth it? If I do i'll have 2 consoles.. for those who have 2 or more is it hard to juggle getting games for both?

 

Ive got all 3 current gen consoles, I dont find it hard to juggle buying games though. It usally works like this

Family/fun games on the wii
multiplatform games i get for the xbox
PS3 exclusive on PS3 obviously.

Zavvi are doing the Xbox360 Elite with bioshock for £179.95. Its debatable whether its worth it to you but i think for the extra £30 over the arcade its got to be worth a look.

 

Sounds a good price. ive now decided to bite the bullet as im doing a games design course.. so will be full of gamers who most likely have a 360.. Might just pop into game station next month and see their bundles then grab a taxi home to save me walking through rhyl with a 360 xD

 

Don't get an Arcade. You'll eventually regret it.

 

Well right now i dont have much of a choice seeming the Elite is out of my price range.. and If i ever do need a HDD i can get one of Ebay.. im only getting one to play friends.. my main console will be my PS3.. and installing games to HDD I dont really care about noise tbh I've played on one before they aint that loud.

 

The thing is, HDDs aren't cheap, and the fact that the price you pay for a HDD eventually will probably = a Pro/Elite anyways.

Hmm We'll see it depends how much i get next month pay wise to what i can get.. Hopefully will be able to get it but still Personally dont see the point in a elite as i wont be using it as much compared to Ps3.. and they stopped selling the 60GB which is a huge shame as its the one i want.. but im not getting a preowned one due to warrenty's and then I would rather a jasper / new mobo model version

 

Getting the arcade is as we've said a waste of money. If you don't want the elite, then wait a bit for it's price to drop. You can always try to scour for an 80GB with BC.

 

^There's no 80 gb 360.

i was on about the 60G Pro model 360 :| I've got a 60GB Ps3 sitting behind me now

 

But he already has one of those.

 

Get the elite, just trying to update games is a real pain with the arcade

 

Edit - got £150 for results and general money and hopefully will get another £50 soon or borrow it from mum till next month or whenever i get £50 to get an elite with PGR4 and sega superstars tennis for £194.99. the games may be bad but its something to start off with

 

pgr4 is awesome, the tennis well, isn't.

 

PGR4 isn't the most realistic, but sure is fun.

 

Game, Tesco and Gamestation are doing the elite for 199 with fight night 4 and tiger woods 10. Newer games you could trade in for more cash.
