Windows Too many FPS games, help!

The games I'm playing this period

Crysis, UT3, Kayne and Lynch, Gears of War, COD4 and Jericho ...my eyes,ears and nose will start bleeding if i play another fps/pew pew game. Any new games that don't require you to kill/explode things ?

I got Gears of War for the PC and played it for a few hours but I'm unimpressed. It looks great I admit but its just the same thing over and over - find cover, pop out and shoot, and repeat for several hours. I can't see why it's got such great reviews aside from the technical achievement.

 

its a game for the 360. What do you expect?

Indeed , gears of war is boring as hell, at least there's a decent story to it. Some weapon mods would make it more interesting, and maybe more types of enemies. Kane and Lynch is really nice, reminds me of max payne series, dunno why bit-tech gave it 7/10 only. CoD4 seems to be same poop different era, I like it more than MoH Airborne since there's actual AI implemented on NPCs. Unreal tournament 3 is so...gears of war like, it feels like smth is missing from it. Crysis is godly, although there are loading screens you get the feeling that you are actually on the island and everything is real. I haven't played Jericho much but it's deffinetely not like Undying. The feature that lets you change from one member of the team to another seems to be useless. However I must say it's got the most interesting enemies I've experienced from any other game.

 

Call of Duty 4 isn't that bad honestly

it's not a PC game, but wii+SMG =perfect FPS antidote.

try lfs (live for speed) a realistic online racing game. Good fun if you have a wheel, makes you lfeel like a pro racer until you drive a proper car lol

I faced a similar dilemma recently. I decided to get Beyond Good & Evil. Been enjoying that ever since.

 

Portal is a pretty fun game. It kinda looks like a shooter, but it's a puzzle game.

 

Really? Is it any good?

 

N'ah, I'd give it a 1/10 to be honest.

i had a blast playing Portal. Only complaint is it's too short.
