Every once in a while with no prompts the spacebar will get 'stuck'. I know it's a software issue because I can reboot and clear the problem. The anommaly has persisted through a malware/vires sweep (registry cleaner, AdAware, Spybot and AVG). I'm running XP SP2, anyone have any ideas?

have you tried a different keyboard? I used to have the "d" and "f" key stick on a old MS natural keyboard. Replaced it and its fine - the keys were physically stuck - the onboard controller must have just been confused.

Also try turning on sticky keys in accessibility options (in accessories) and see if it helps.

Just becuase you can reboot to fix it doesnt mean its a software problem - it may "unlock" the key.
