Cooling Too tight?

Just playing with the positioning of the 120 radiator on the 980ti hybrid I bought from Speed a little while ago and was after peoples opinions on whether this position meant the bends in the tubing were too tight.

No that's fine George, if I can run my H80i v2 with no issues whatsoever (as below) then yours is optimum I'd say

 

Hell no, that is 100% fine - in fact you could go much tighter. I whacked two H45s in a Ncase M1 once - that's when you really start worrying about if its too tight.

 

Awesome - thanks both The bend that I was most concerned about was the tube going into the radiator closest to the camera but with a bit of prodding it's possible to get it less tight

 

EVGA hybrid hoses are stupid long. I had to use clamps on mine to keep them in the PC lol.

 

They really are aren't they?! Even with the rad right up at the top there they still touch the side window in my case (just)

 

Look into hose clamps man. The link in my signature will have everything you need. They're about £4 each IIRC. Look nice too

As above, it's only too tight if it kinks or flattens the tubing before kinking.

 

Cheers. I presume that the fittings on these units are fairly stong / flexible also then?

 

The fittings should be fine. You're not bending it at a very harsh angle at the connection anyhow.
