Yeah theres some people running and jumping before it. Not that i mind too much it means i can watch sherlock then TG straight after
What is Top Gears obsession with Stoke-on-Trent? This is the second episode in this series that has been though here. They even mis-edited part of Newcastle-under-Lyme into Shirley, the part where the man was washing the window/breaking in.
Pretty good episode, average series. I've watched through all the seasons lately and still think the best ones were around 10-13 or so. It was when they got the format right, and the jokes weren't all old yet.
Was an alright episode, certainly not the best. I think they're trying to dum down the amount of challenges and stupidity on the show - it certainly seems it. Wouldn't be at all supprised if they ended it after next season if things don't improve.
Good episode but nothing special. I like the serious bits they put in the last two episodes but I am dead tired of the same old jokes. The 'secret location' joke was great the first time they did it but now it's ridiculous. Also, Hammond needs a haircut and needs to talk less when it's scripted (studio). During challenges or road tests he's fine, but in the studio he's annoying as hell I honestly hope there will be a 16th series however
I don't get the Hammond-hatred. It's all scripted anyway, don't blame him for getting the rubbish lines. I'm tired of the short-jokes as well. If I see a single cool wall-short hammond-gag, I promise never to watch new Top Gear episodes again.
They didn't even have a cool wall segment in this series IIRC. They must have dropped it what with there only being 6 episodes in the season and all (I'm pretty sure they had a significantly lower budget for this season than any of the others).
IIRC the look back at the touring car series was very light hearted and was essentially "WE LOVE TOURING CARS BECAUSE OF THE AWESOME CRASHES AND AWESOME RACING!" Obviously the awesome racing only existed until the "Mini DTM" reg changes and even shortly before that it was getting poor. But onto Top Gear. I quite enjoyed this episode, but then I enjoy all of them. Some are better than others, but they're all good imo. I agree that the "glory" days were somewhere between 9 and 13, but I have to say, the Reliant bit in Ep one this series was perhaps the most I've laughed at a TV in my entire life.
Watched it yesterday - an OK episode. However, I did feel the need to wash afterwards, as I felt very dirty. I, an avowed Aston man, liked a Ferarri. One thing though on the new Fezza - why does it have 3 tail pipes? the left bank of cylinders will feed the left pipe, and the right bank the right pipe. Where does the third pipe go? Or are both headers and down pipes routed to a single back box that has three tail pipes for looks?
