I noticed in a paper the other day that the coastguards somewhere off the south coast were complaining that the Top Gear team had attempted to sail across the channel in cars (two of which sunk) for the new series (autumn?) without even letting them know, something about being irresponsible

 

Woo! Looking forward to this, i'll be at work - but now I can just record it! yay!

Yeh a new series is planned for autumn, or so I heard. One of the stunts is sailing across the channel. cant wait, best tv on a sunday night.

 

I really wish people would use spoiler tags - they're there for a reason, and I enjoy not knowing what the guys are doing in an episode.

I have seen spoiler tags before, but not on here. I only joined today and just used the quick reply at the bottom of the page. Also that other user posted more or less the same before me. Oh well, look forward to top gear next week.

Going back to the Fifth Gear comments - I have absolutely nothing against VBH, she's a good laugh and her giggles are possibly the best bit about her hooning a car around some random track.

The only thing wrong with Fifth Gear, other than it being on channel 5, is that they seem to purposefully disagree with TG, saying the opposite about their favourite cars (can't remember now, but there was a glaring example that came to me a minute ago) and have totally stupid challenges. (e.g. As above, an R26 vs. a tweaked van)

 

Me being me, I don't really pay attention. Its not as if I'm going to be able to afford a shiny sodding great umpteen gazillion pound sports car now am I? If I like the look of a car, then I pay attention. Rest of the time its just sit there and watch the general fun and games.
