    Made my choice!

I went for this psu because it comes recommended by Jonnyguru with a score of 9 out of 10! See here Silverstone Zeus ST85ZF Review @ Jonnyguru, it's the last page of the review which gives the score

And I got it from here http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?ProductId=17102 for the SUPER bargain price of £67.85 with free delivery for being a member of AVforums! And last but not least I only got it for £67.85 (£20.69 than it should have been!) Because I found it listed here http://www.scan.co.uk/TodayOnly/Index.aspx

So did I get a bargain or what :D

It has quad 18A rails, combined rating of 70A...it's a good PSU and you got it for a great price. Well done.

Well 2 35A Rails would have been better but that's just a small niggle

Nothing wrong with 4 rails, but yes I prefer a single rail :) Just preference though there are lots of arguments for single and multi-rail

I should have had and installed into my system by now the PSU Silverstone Zeus ST85ZF which I would have had for the bargain price of £67.85 but apparently on Scans website I accidentally f*cked up and entered my debit card as credit card details so the payment got declined :( and because of that I would have had to place a new order and re-enter my card details but by the time I found out I'd f*cked up the offers had changed and that PSU had gone up to £91.07 (as it was one of the Today only offers at £67.85) so doing more research I ended up ordering today for delivery tomorrow the Corsair TX850 Watt PSU Reviewed here Jonnyguru Corsair TX850 Review the only issue I am kind of worried about is after placing the order then going back and reading the review again Jonny says on page 3 of the review (where he takes the unit apart) that there were some short, loose heatsink screws! Six of them were loose! As in, zero effort needed to unscrew them.

I hope this isn't a normal thing for that PSU as I really don't want to be voiding the warranty just to check that the screws aren't loose!

One advantage (apparently) is that the Corsair TX850 comes with a single 12v rail as opposed to Quad 12v rails for the ST85ZF PSU, but I really don't know what the difference is if I'm honest, between a single rail or Quad rails?

    Any ideas?

Give it a shake, if it rattles RMA it, otherwise install it and stop worrying.

Straight to the point I like it :D, anyway I didn't shake it obviously and when moving it around by hand (obviously :eyebrow:) their were no rattling noises anywhere and it works perfectly, 850 watts of pure Corsair TX850 goodness.

    Excellent stuff :D:thumb:
