    I believe there to be a browser alternative to utorrent.....apologies but I can't seem to remember, if your only downloading a linux distro then maybe you want select a download mirror.

    ctorrent when I'm on an SSH connection and Transmission when I am at the desktop.
    Both lightweight and free and run perfectly on linux.

    Well, Opera has an inbuilt torrent client.

    fdm is also one of the best, just search fdm and you will find the rest.
