Rejoice, Penguinistas - you have something new to play with! From eWeek:

"The next major upgrade to the Linux kernel, Version 2.6, edged a step closer with the release over the weekend of the test9 version of that kernel.

Linux founder Linus Torvalds and Andrew Morton [Who? not THE Andrew Morton, unauthorised biographer of dead royalty? - GOO :)], the maintainer of the upcoming 2.6 kernel, said test9 is now ready for enterprise testing.

Test9, the latest version of the code, is available at www.kernel.org or ftp.kernel.org and takes another step toward the release of the 2.6 kernel, expected before the end of the year."
