From eWeek - an interview with Das Penguinmeister on the SCO situation:

Linus Torvalds, the creator of the Linux operating system, this week responded to a range of allegations made by The SCO Group at its SCO Forum 2003 conference in Las Vegas. In a hard-hitting interview with eWEEK Senior Editor Peter Galli, Torvalds disputed what SCO presented this week as evidence of illegal Unix System V code in Linux.

How hard hitting? This hard hitting:

Hey, Linus - Don't hold back mate - say what you mean.... :D

so its clear what they want a big chunk of money

they dont own the code cos otherwise removing it and finding a new way of implementing it would be enough
