Bit of a weird request for all you brainboxes out there but looking for some sort of portable C5 power lead with 3pin UK plug.

So I recently picked up a portable EGPU from SGWZone and it uses a C5 power lead. As it is portable it also comes with a very snug case to put it in. However while the eGPU and thunderbolt cable all fit, the C5 power cable doesn't.

The issue isn't the C5 head but just how bulky the good ole British 3 pin plug is. Does anyone know of a c5 power lead that has a 3 pin plug with folding power pins or a possible alternative solution?

    Thanks in advance!

i think you're going to have the '3-pin BS plug is too chonk' problem whatever you do... best i can see/think of would be some kind of extension cable combined with something along the lines of this -

but ngl the arrangment feels like it'd be sketchy as **** and i'm not sure i'd risk it...

Leads with folding mains plugs were a thing about 7-8 years ago, but a quick search suggests that folding UK plugs are now only used for USB chargers & travel adaptors.
How about just getting a C14-C5 adaptor and using a local kettle lead wherever you go?

I genuinely thought about going kettle lead but still run into our awesome plugs just being a tad too chonkey.

Yea the only places I've seen folding pins is Anker/Ugreen USB chargers.

I also did think about local kettle lead but since not all kettles have one these days and I do like a cuppa while playing I don't fully have confidence in that solution.

I did start down the path of US or EU to C5 connector and a travel adaptor. Not sure above voltage and while I suspect the device should just detect and work I don't fully know.

That might just work I'll do some measurements and see what tolerance there is. The pin depth I think is the problem so I don't think it quite saves enough space but it might just be enough
