I'm looking to build a new rig for gaming/folding. Ive seen some 8800GTX's at a good price and I'd like to go Tri SLI.

The ASUS M4N82 supports this and seems a good choice, I may try it with my phenom X4 II 940 or I might buy the X955.

My question is, my current PSU (as link) has two 12v rails, which basically works with my current 8800GT sli setup. Will the PSU have enough guts to run the Tri SLI setup for the 8800GTX's?

Looks like it only has 2 PCI-E connectors.

I was wondering if I could use a Y splitter for the 3rd card?

I wouldn't recommenced using splitters for permanent usage.

Agreed, i wouldn't do that either. But it's your call mate. It'll probably work, it just wont be optimal.

Okay. I agree it wouldnt be optimal, therefore I will dismiss this idea.

I guess I need to source a PSU that supports tri-sli?
