Well,... I used the old version of this last jig to drill the tubes. But as you can see it didnt work all that well. This new jig cant be used to drill the tubes. Only the end pieces. So i am going to make another jig to drill the holes. It has to be adjustable like this end piece jig. Probably going to use some kind of "V" groove type base to hold the tube in place.

btw grizzly has a 6" one accurate to .0002" for like 30$ right now... was the one you were looking at a startett? (spelling?...)

I actually cancel that order for that caliper There another one I saw thats was a 12" with a titanium head thats accurate up to .0005 for $36. I canceled because of that and this place is slow as hell to deliver the goods. I am still waiting for the foot switches! the order was shipped on the july 29th!!! My plastics tubes and stuff from california already got here! I dont know what the deal is with this place.

 

I just want to say I'm glad I found your worklogs Tribal, they make for an amazing read.
I think I watched a youtube video of yours and wanted to know more about what you had done, so came to find your work. It's kind of funny that after seeing it I now recognise some of the ACRyan stuff as yours.

So you've been really busy with the AC Ryan stuff lately, but do you ever intend to finish blackout? You got so far with that and I was disappointed when I got to the end of the log to find it was still not finished!

I do have intentions of finihsing blackout. I cant wait to finish BO. But right now I have more important things that need to be done. I want to finish what im doing now with these jigs. Then I am going to finish Qhs's reservoir and then I will start on blackout again. I will be prototyping another reservoir too while working on blackout. You know what?!?!? S@#$,... I'm going to make this new reservoir idea i have for blackout. It along with all the other cool s@#$ I have going on in there should put Blackout ahead of the game. Teyber,... the $36 digital caliper is only a 6". But i dont care. Still better than the last one. OH! I tried canceling the order and it was too late. so I have two of them coming now. LOL.

Cheapskate,... I still have to cut your lathe bits man. Very soon I will send everything. Keep your panties on tight.

Oh,... took some video yesterday! You guys will like It's just a quick example video. I'll post it when I get home tomorrow. going to the studio right after work so that wont happen till late afternoon,.... for me at least.

I think I know what the custom Blackout res will be. I can't wait. I think QHS died of old age anyway. I haven't seen him around lately.

 

You have no idea what the Blackout reservoir is going to be Fo sho. You will cream your panties when you see it work. Qhs, better show up for his res,... this thing is nearly done.

 

Hey! I got my foot switches in the mail today! Finally! I also have an update in which I havent had a chance to post yet. I was too busy working on this video I made. I will post that along with my update. It's a very simple and dumb video,... but it's kind of cool. Or funny Not going to tell you what the video is about. Bu tI think you will like what its about. I have off this weeked so I plan on finishing these reservoirs. After that I will start finishing Qh's res and I will continue with my jig making I still have a few more to make. So yea. Tomorrow. Update. Video. Cool.
