How comes it's so cheap then? Surely with this kind of quality they could have happily asked for £15 a copy.. Oh well, I'll probably get it in a steam sale 'cos I'm a tight *******. :)

I loved the first one even though my game play was a stuttering crashing mess due to overheating GPU/CPU in failing old laptop.
I'm going to play the original again this weekend then purchase for sure!

Does Trine 2 and the original support Xbox 360 controller? I think I'm going to pick one up as the experience should be better then keyboard/mouse.....

I loved the 1st one, however, I hated the extreme escalation of difficulty in the last level in comparison to the rest of the game. I got far too frustrated, rage quit and never actually went back to complete it.

Still, that won't stop me from picking this up some point this Christmas.

I thought that nearly everything about the first Trine looked amazing. But having played it I just could never connect with it. If the new one is like the first I'll probably give it a miss until it ends up crazily discounted.

+1 had the same problem here too, played the whole game through but just could not get through the all leaps and bounds at the last stage.

Thoroughly enjoyed the 1st one tho and Trine 2 is definitely on the list this time around too.

I only completed the first one last night xD
is the respawning enemies gone? that was really tedious :x

and yes, the last level was super annoying, its easy after you get to the checkpoint orb thing though :x

So, first you're complaining that it's too cheap, then you say you'll wait until it's even cheaper?

I bought the first Trine game in a Steam sale but, based on the strength of that game, decided to pre - order this one at full price. The review suggests that my decision was a good one... will be playing this tonight :)

This is exactly what I was just about to write. :)

Trine 2's visuals are absolutely stunning in the videos I've seen. Can't wait to get it installed and try it out.

The thing I liked about Trine 1 (aside from the beautiful graphics & music, pleasant plot and fun gameplay) was that it implemented physics as a core gameplay mechanic and integrated the mechanic so well that it never felt like a gimmick; unlike so many other 'physics-based' games in recent years.

Trine was one of a couple of games (along with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light) that was so good and so cheap I tried to get all my mates to pay it some attention arguing that on the off chance they didn't enjoy it there wasn't really any financial sacrifice. Sadly only 1 or 2 actually gave it a chance. I think I need better friends.

I'll certainly be getting it as the first one I thought looked pretty fantastic and was excellent all round. If 2 is even better then hot damn!

Yes, the Xbox controller works flawlessly with the original PC game.

Gonna snap this up sharpish...£12 is a bloody damn good bargain for such a quality game.
