Photos Trip to St Andrews

    I was up at St. Andrews at the weekend just to get out of the house and avoid crowds and had a walk around the Cathedral and the castle. A few shots from the day, most were touristy snapshots but I quite like a these ones. Click for bigger, C&C always welcome.

    #1 and #2 are great! Very nice :) Especially #2.

    I like the composition of #3, but the ground is a touch too under-exposed compared to the sky.

    Looking at the full size version on flickr I can see why I thought it was off, you've overdone the sky in correcting it in PP and left the ground in it's 'dull' cloudy day colours/exposure.

    I know I've probably oversaturated things a bit here, but look how much better it looks when you adjust both:

    Same goes for #4.

    If you are shooting with a tripod maybe you should look into bracketing photographs were you want to pull out detail from a dull cloudy sky, that way you can combine the exposures and the colour saturation will all match up.
