At the mo there is 1 of 2 ways with the cards you have... 1) purchase a Matrox tripple head 2 go, although does have resolution limitations (1680x1050 per screen max I beleive). 2) download and try out SoftTH (requireds that 2nd gfx card must be pci-e), then head over to WSGF and check out the games list where by it will tell you what games will run, how well they run, and how to get them to work with multi screens. As for the 8600GT, only thing ic an think of is that its perhaps not gaining enough power from the mobo, im assuming it does not require power from the PSU?? The latest nvidia chipset certainly supports both cards. I used to have a 8800gtx + 8400gs which ran fine.
For? Getting the 8600GT working? Have you tried other pci-e lanes and have tried both cards inserted into the 2 black pci-e slots?
I have an ASUS M3N board with an nForce 780a with two outputs and the board has 3xPCI-Ex slots. I have 3x6800GTI in them so I have have to 8 displays all connected to the machine. I have had 8 at one point and decided it was a few to many, so I opted for 3x19" LCDs a small touch screen and a 15" LCD with a projector to dispaly all the films etc... jake9891 your screen size looks nice, how about a pic of what it looks like on your desk? I will upload some pics after I come back from Uni today Delphium thx for advice I will try that today as well, but probably I will end up with 6200 LE for now because the 8600GT is going for sale. Beside 6200LE is good for now, becase it doesnt need much power, so it is perfect for running that extra monitor

For me this is it really, I am completely satisfied with the final result Share your opinion, even if it is negative thx again!
Hey everyone, I found only one disadvantage of this setup, both cards are running in 8x, which means drop in performance in demanding games (Crysis, Quake 4 etc) but it's ok for lighter games (Team Fortress 2). I guess I should expect that right at the beginning but I thought that this only applies to crossfire and SLI setups not to setup when there are 2 separate cards in a slots. Anyway, I am not really bothered about that, but I thought it is worth mentioning this in here Thx again! P.S. Strange thing is that I just installed GTA IV and that runs great II got most settings on high, only one on medium. All the sliders are in the middle, 3 monitors switched on and running. The resolution is 1280x1024 75 Hz and I am getting 30--60 fps. What a suprise. I've read that the difference between 8x and 16x is about 3% at least on my graphic card.
