Now I've added *bit-tech.net* to the ad-blocker white list and this used to work, but now realise that the only advert still being displayed are the ones for Igizmo. should I be using a different mask in the ad blocker?

hmmm that's a bit of an arse then, for people trying to support the site but not wanting to disable ad blockers. any ideas of ways around it?
If it's a javascript blocker whitelist http://ad.uk.doubleclick.net/adj/bit-tech.net As cpemma said, all subdomains of 2mdn.net need to be whitelisted.
That explains why i no longer get ads at work, the corporate firewall blocks doubleclick. Hope they don't monitor who racks up the most blocked urls or i'm now in trouble.
