Hmm, where did you get your copy?
Don't trust those ..you know what... sites.

It does need Directx and OpenGL installed.

I've heard stories of cracked software versions actually being more stable than legit versions.
(I've actually experienced this first hand.)

    Sure!
If you have them use them!
there are soo many 3D programs out there, everyone has a favorite.
trueSpace has a pretty learning curve, but once you learn the basics you can do stuff VERY fast.

Yes, I have to wonder sometimes... Is more software given away on UK magazines than in the US? Or is it vice-versa?

My 3D urge (I'm in the UK) has been sated (Oooeerr!) by the following coverdisk - full - 3D software in recent months/years:

    Truespace 1 to 3
    Amapi 3, 4.1
    Gmax
    Strata 3D (***!)
    bCAD
Cinema 4D v5 (My favourite so far)
    ...
and the list goes on (but older stuff now)

I know the idea is to get you to buy an upgrade, but I haven't mastered a quarter of Cinema 4D yet, and don't think I ever will!

And to think I used to have to register shareware 3D stuff to get affordable software...!

(Still like the shareware idea though:) )

GMax is free for download off their website though too.

Much like ZModeler is. Good 3D program, although mainly for game editing (GTA3, NFS, Mafia etc). Still excellent for anything else though.

And Zap, cheers on the download link, now I can try TrueSpace :hip:
