I'd like him to live long enough (and still have the mental capacity) to see the world rip his name off everything he ever owned. The full Jimmy Saville, if you will.

That ship has long since sailed, had catastrophic failures, and sunk faster than a business with the Trump name on it.

Toddlers had a better grasp of object permeance than Trump did even in his first term.

    no comment.

and yes i did mean permanence but explaining magnetic flux to a sponge would probably be easier and more fruitful than explaining anything to trump.

If the Democrats gain control of both houses of the Congress, they will, I suspect, be looking for a way to impeach the orange dictator soon.

I don’t mean to burst your bubble, but… Trump has already been impeached twice, and no US president has ever been removed from office by impeachment.

The house can vote for impeachment proceedings, but it only means removal of the president from office if the Senate votes to convict.

Neither of the previous high-profile impeachments most people are aware of, Clinton & Nixon, resulted in the Senate voting to convict and the president being removed from office.

Yeah, they'd need the house and the senate before that would be even remotely likely.

Is impeachment one of those things where they need 60 votes or is 51/50+vp enough? i forget. if it's the former then no chance the senate 'convicts'.

Didn't Nixon resign before the senate could vote?

That's why I said "If the Democrats gain control of both houses of the Congress".

...but the senate isn't part of Congress.

Yes it is. The Senate is the upper house, the House of Representatives [what most people call 'congress'] is the lower house. But they are both parts of 'Congress'.

It requires 2/3 so 67 which is a very high bar.

I think Nixon resigned when the Senate Republican leadership told him that they had the votes to convict him in the senate.

Look, isn't there anybody in the US anymore with a burning desire to impress Jodie Foster?

    I'm just saying.
